The Actuals

Some days go by very fast without much concern for the society, or the immediate fellowmen. Some days go by without care for the welfare of the oppressed... without care for justice... without standing up against unjust and unscrupulous elements.

Some days feel without the call of the divine.. without that spark of devotion or personal discipline.

Some days are not how they were expected to be when we made our best resolutions

Some days pass by without wanting to meet the Master. Some days pass without an iota of moistness in the heart.

Some days pass without sensitivity to the harsh and cruel words we utter.

Some days pass in selfishness, wanting attention and feeling left out.

Some days without doing our basic practices....and some days without taking any effort, let alone the extra effort.

I am grateful for these days Dear LORD.
For, if I am able to see that these days are not the same, not how I wanted them to be, it means that I have done better before.. and have an opportunity to go back to my good ways of effective and useful living

If I am able to feel the pinch, it means that I care.. not just to come back on track, but also that YOU are our highest goal.

If I am able to feel the difference, that means I can bring the difference.
I humbly lay both these kinds of days are at YOUR lotus feet.. and beg repeatedly to give me the determination to change the things I can.

FOR I KNOW the ACTUALS are never constant. Society needs to change, and I need to bring that change... first in me. I also need to stand united with millions of like minded people who Volunteer for Better India . Please guide me out of apathy and help me stand tall against all that needs to change... a change that needs to come first from me.

Gurudev  has told us several times that "awareness of the shortcoming is probably the most important step in evolution". Change occurs where we perceive the need for it. How blessed are we to have known this.. for now we CAN bring change. Chandogya Upanishad's priceless words rush to my recollection..
Acharyavan purusho veda, “He alone, who has a Guru in his life, can know the truth"
