வ‌ற‌ம்பும் விள‌க்க‌மும் கேளா ந‌தியாய் குதித்தோட‌ ;

The Actuals

Some days go by very fast without much concern for the society, or the immediate fellowmen. Some days go by without care for the welfare of the oppressed... without care for justice... without standing up against unjust and unscrupulous elements.

Some days feel without the call of the divine.. without that spark of devotion or personal discipline.

Some days are not how they were expected to be when we made our best resolutions

Some days pass by without wanting to meet the Master. Some days pass without an iota of moistness in the heart.

Some days pass without sensitivity to the harsh and cruel words we utter.

Some days pass in selfishness, wanting attention and feeling left out.

Some days without doing our basic practices....and some days without taking any effort, let alone the extra effort.

I am grateful for these days Dear LORD.
For, if I am able to see that these days are not the same, not how I wanted them to be, it means that I have done better before.. and have an opportunity to go back to my good ways of effective and useful living

If I am able to feel the pinch, it means that I care.. not just to come back on track, but also that YOU are our highest goal.

If I am able to feel the difference, that means I can bring the difference.
I humbly lay both these kinds of days are at YOUR lotus feet.. and beg repeatedly to give me the determination to change the things I can.

FOR I KNOW the ACTUALS are never constant. Society needs to change, and I need to bring that change... first in me. I also need to stand united with millions of like minded people who Volunteer for Better India . Please guide me out of apathy and help me stand tall against all that needs to change... a change that needs to come first from me.

Gurudev  has told us several times that "awareness of the shortcoming is probably the most important step in evolution". Change occurs where we perceive the need for it. How blessed are we to have known this.. for now we CAN bring change. Chandogya Upanishad's priceless words rush to my recollection..

Falling rain

Forgiveness is dropping your right to Hate the person who has Hurt you

The most enriching DSN that helped me look at Ego and Forgiveness in a totally new way.
Well We all know that some times we do things to satisfy a wakeful ego, a sleepy ego and a sleeping latent ego.
And justifying why we did it to people who are affected by our actions seems to equate the other half of the time we spend. So in all... we are running around in circles. A very mundane poit that many people say.. deal with your ego. I say, how am I supposed to wage this guerilla warfare without knowing what my ego feels like. I was running around looking for this pivottal piece to the puzzle.. Ram ji's DSN was somehow the solution to all my questions. It only reinforced my belief that; If you are looking for a solution to a burning problem with all your being, you will have to look no further... There was both ego busting and boosting events that made me aware of my ego...the deep and intensive sadhna had heightened our awareness..and the Surrender process, broke down the battlements my Ego had built up. Once this happened, a series of fiascos followed with everyone i loved..and they all seemed to want to rant and rave at me all at once...
It was then that the knowledge point came across..wanting proof of their love and expecting them to understand my feelings always seemed to always be the problem.."they cant do this to me" started dissolving and it was an amazing sight to watch..like seeing the Siachen melt at Leh in early summer..a slow meandering but steady and sure process...Its only when we think; "if they can do that to me, then two can play that game"... are we volunteering to pick up the garbage they have scattered all over...Let the garbage be and walk away.. and trust that the world loves you.. Believe me; you will be amazed to find that it does!!!

Move to the Center

The master said:

From the object move on to the Center, move on to the Experiencer of pleasure.
This is the way to have a continued experience, continued joy in life.

And I wondered:

Aho! Mere Silence and Real Wonder!!
Expending of the senses on the one side, its really funny how we think that the object is giving us the experience. More food, booze, perfumes, music all the time, lust...every single thing in the world that the senses can perceive, we have converted into a viable avenue for exploitation..Starting from "All you can eat" buffets to chocolate shops festooned with banners of indulgence.. it has always given us more reason to believe that the joy of eating chocolates is in the chocolates itself. And then the senses are limited... and so is their capacity to enjoy.. you can only have so much ice-cream, meat, sex, fragrance...and then the organs tire down out of over usage and hurtle us into depression and exhaution...Awareness is what helps i think..and active inaction to strong impulses.. it has helped many times... I wonder!! Its more a journey than a destination as a famous writer might have remarked...

Our Presence and Service

The master said:

The mere presence of the sun brings all the activity in the world. In the same way, your mere presence is a service, is the goal. There is no gain, no loss, no purpose, no defeat.

..And I wondered.

Every atom in the universe is related to another.. and there is so much detailed macro-intelligence in every seemingly "automatic" occurrence in the world.
Well, there are few who live their little lives without realizing the need to be of assitance to some one, nor realizing this divine intelligence in every cell of the universe. Then there are people who know and are doing a lot of good work; with or without the frills. And finally there are people who are ever-ready to be of assitance. Their very attitude enlivens and energises one so much! Every learned civilization talks about this..being at beckon call is also a service in its own..

So to say, a piece of silence is also music when interjected between the right syllables of rhythm or tune.. And probably thats what John Milton wanted to say, when he said "They also serve, who only stand and wait"
